This is one of my favorite times of the year because it means the end of an era and the beginning of a new adventure in life. Graduation time is so important and it means that all of the hard work and long hours of studying has paid off and now the students will receive a diploma or a degree. For high school graduates, this means the beginning of an entirely new world and for many this will be the first time that they have been away from home for those who choose to attend college. For those high school graduates that do not choose to attend college, this means the beginning of the "real world" complete with finding employment or potentially going back to school to earn specialized certification or even learning a trade. No matter which path you choose, this marks a new life filled with opportunities.
For college graduates, this means going to work every day in the field that you earned your degree. For some this will not be the case for they may find a job in a completely different field unrelated to their major. This could also mean possibly enrolling in graduate school in order to earn a Master's degree which will open more doors in the long run.
Graduation time is always a fun time of the year. I'm especially excited because my niece is graduating with a Masters Degree in Taxation tonight. I am so proud of her. She's worked hard and will be sitting for the CPA exam soon and will be joining one of the Big 4 accounting firms on a permanent basis. I am a proud and excited aunt right now. I can't believe my first niece is getting her Master's degree. Seems like yesterday that she was just born. Now she's all grown up and will be 23 years young next month.
Congratulations for all the 2015 graduates!! Congratulations to all the parents of the Class of 2015.
