The past two weeks have been filled with ups and downs, but that’s all just a part of life. No matter what life brings into your life, you have to be ready to accept what God allows and continue to walk in faith and by faith. It does become challenging and definitely feel like throwing in the towel and just saying that enough is enough and I’m giving up. That is not something that I do because God has been too good to me. I was thinking what if God gave up on me after all that He sacrificed for me, for everyone and where would I be at this present time.
Over this past week, our family has been dealing with another death in the family. It is very difficult to go through a time of bereavement especially when the person is so close and so dear to your heart. My uncle, Bishop Willie Perry, was called home from labor to reward after being granted 83 precious years on this earth. He was a pastor, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a mentor, and just a great person that everyone loved. Even during his time of sickness, he continued to minister to others and to help others in need. Even with both legs amputated several years ago, my uncle remained faithful to his church and continued to do what he could for so many people in the community. I believe the most difficult moment was when his great grandchildren started asking where “paw paw” was and they had to be told that he was no longer here with us and had become an angel. My heart just broke because these are little 5 and 6 year olds who only know that their “paw paw” is not in his recliner.
Don’t take life for granted and let the people you love know that you love them. Have a great day!
