Today Marks a New Era in My Life

Today marks a new era in my life and in the lives of my 4 year old twin boys.  Today they started a private preschool for children with developmental delays.  I cannot tell what a blessing this school and the owner has been to me and my boys because their instructor has over 37 years of experience and it really shows.  When the boys got out of the car, one of them just walked directly to the door of the school while I had to hold my other twin’s hand and walk him inside.  Once inside, they proceeded to go directly to the staff members and playing with the toys and games that were set up for them.  After I go them signed in,  they were so busy and intrigued by the various things at the school and neither one of them cried when I left.  I don’t even think they knew that I left because they were so into all of the bright colors, toys, blocks, games and other educational tools.  I was able to leave them with peace of mind knowing that they were in good hands.  On the way to the school, I made sure that I prayed over them while they were in the car.  This took me back to something that my mother always told us and I really didn’t understand at the time.  My mom would always tell us that she said a prayer each day that she took us to school.  Being a mother now and having children attend school, I know exactly what she was doing and how important it is to pray over your children when they are in school, actually when they go anywhere. 

Around noon today, their teacher sent me a text message with a picture of the boys.  They were taking a nap.  Oh my goodness.  I almost passed out because they never take naps at home.  Their teacher said that they were some good little boys and that just made the rest of my day go by filled with joy and happiness.  God sent me an angel in their teacher.  It took me a long time to find her, but the wait was well worth it.  Here’s to a new chapter in our lives.  Have a wonderful day!
