Remembering and Reflecting on this Good Friday

Today is a very sacred day for all Christians across the world.  On today, we commemorate Good Friday.  As I sit here and really think about and reflect on the ultimate sacrifice that was made, I just get a chill because I know that had the sacrifice not been made, I would not be here today.
What Jesus did was the ultimate sacrifice and I’m just truly thankful and grateful that I have a risen Savior who is alive today and keeps me each and every second I am alive.

I cannot help but to take an opportunity to really sit here and reflect and remember some of the other people in my life who have made sacrifices for me and who have helped me to reach the point in my life where I am right now.  First of all is God.  Second would have to definitely be my loving and caring parents. Oh my goodness.  What can I say about these two amazing people that God blessed me to have as parents.  They love me no matter what and even at 40 years old, my parents will still go out of their way to do anything for me, my siblings, and of course, the grandchildren.  I stand amazed at the time sacrifices they’ve made over the past years just so that we could have what we needed in life.  As I’ve grown older, I’ve really come to appreciate my parents more because now I have children of my own and now I understand what is meant by when a parent does everything they can so that their children can have everything they need in life.  On this Good Friday, I’m thankful for God who sent His only Son to save us.  I am thankful for Jesus for dying on the cross and knowing that he is risen and here by my side as I go through this thing called life.  I am thankful for my amazing and beautiful parents.  Oh to be thankful and grateful!  Have a wonderful day!
