It’s Okay. I’ll Take It From Here

You’ve a project due at work.  You have over 20 prospects to follow up with during the day.  You come home and dinner needs to be prepared and the kids need assistance with their homework assignments. You remember while you’re preparing dinner that you have to go pick up one of your children from their sports practice in 30 minutes.  You look over at your significant other and see that they look lonely and that look that give you says, “take a break because you’re doing entirely too much.”

Can you relate to this?  Does your day look similar to what is going on here?  It is so often that we find ourselves going at such a rapid pace until we simply find ourselves completely exhausted and no time for ourselves.  It is just a natural occurrence, especially for parents, to put your children first.  Sometimes  you need your significant other’s help in order to get everything completed.  Wouldn’t it be nice that whenever you are in a bind and you are just maxed out, you receive some much needed help with a voice that says, “it’s okay, I’ll take it from here?”  Those words are golden because this means that you will get a break from the numerous tasks you face each and every day.  We all need help at one time or another in our lives and there is nothing wrong with needed an extra hand.  Remember to take some time exclusively for yourself. Having some quality “me” time can make a difference between functioning properly to complete burnout. Have a very productive day!
