Thankful for Another Day

This time of year places a lot of attention on being thankful and grateful for the many blessings that we have received in our lives.  In these current times and seasons in life, we have so much more to be thankful for because there is so much going on in the world and we are still alive and well.  It’s times like this where it makes it so important to really focus on what we are thankful for and why we should be thankful every day of the year.  Just waking up this morning is a blessing to be thankful for because there are so many who did not.  Every second and every minute and every hour of the day, we should be so thankful to have the opportunities that we have and the relationships we have built in both our personal and professional lives.  Sometimes we may take the relationships and opportunities that we have for granted especially when looking at the social and economic conditions of other parts of the world.  We have something to be truly thankful for because we are able to communicate freely, build businesses that will lead to financial independence, and to be in a position to enjoy life.  We may think that we have it difficult at times, but when you compare your situation with those of others, you may quickly realize that you are truly in a better position than others and begin to be very thankful for what you have and to work towards what you may not have at this time.  I do this a lot sometimes when I’m in the midst of a life challenge, I may feel that the world is just closing in on me, but then I will see a news report about someone who has lost their entire family in a car accident.  My life challenge that I thought was so monumental then appears to be as tiny as an ant compared to what others may be facing.  For this and many other reasons, I am very thankful.  I’m thankful for another day and an opportunity to be a blessing to others. Have an incredible day!
