What can be said about a beautiful Saturday night at 9:05 pm on October 5, 1974? This is the day that I entered into the world weighing 9 pounds and 6 ounces and 22 1/2 inches long. Yes, on today I celebrate 41 years of being alive and well and only getting better as the days go by. I am truly thankful and grateful that God has kept me over these 41 years especially at times when I did not deserve His grace and mercy. There were times that I can now reflect upon in my past where it was very difficult to see how I would make it through to the next day. I am glad that God has regulated my heart and my mind and made me into the person that I am today and He' still working on me. It's a blessing that I don't look like what I've been through because I have been through a lot. There was a 5 year span in my life where I faced 2 cervical cancer scares. Thankfully, I was healed of that both times and never had to proceed with any aggressive treatments. I have survived a relationship that was not the best, but we all learn and we go forward in our daily lives. With each circumstance I went through, it just built me up higher and stronger and has made me into the woman that I am today and I am very thankful. What can be said about turning 41? I am full of joy and I can't wait to see what this year holds for me. 40 was a good year and I'm anticipating only greater as I journey into 41. Have a great day!
