I’m Not Different, I’m Enhanced

I love it when people I know tell me that I’m different because I always try to find the positive in situations and because I also put my focus on a particular project and work with it until I get results.  When I tell them that I’m not different, they look at me strange and then I come back and say, “I’m just enhanced.”
That statement really floors them and they don’t know what to do except to smile.  I say that I’m enhanced because through all of the life events and experiences I’ve gone through in both my personal and professional life, I am truly a better individual than I was years ago.  There are many words that can describe the word enhanced that apply to who I am today.  I’m better than I once was because of the knowledge and connections I’ve gained throughout the years. I’ve improved my knowhow, business expertise, and relationships to be where I am today.  My thought, my actions, and my opportunities have been enriched by the people that God has placed into my life as friends, mentors, and coaches.  I have reached a heightened sense of urgency to get things done that need to be done and not just write them down on a “to-do” list that just continues to grow.
So when my family, friends, and associates say that I’m different, I can truly smile and know that what I’m doing must be getting across to them because they see something beyond the “normal” taking place right before their eyes.  When I put my mind to do something, I take action.

The next time someone you know tells you that you are different, look them in them in the eye and say, “no, I’m enhanced.”  Have a great day!
