This past weekend was filled with both college and professional football games. Some teams came out victorious while others suffered defeat. It is so heartbreaking when you see the team that suffered the loss because they are obviously disappointed because they did not win the game. This is where the head coach and coaching staff take advantage of this opportunity to reassure their team that they must continue to thrive and press on after a defeat. Many coaches remind their players of just how fortunate they are to even be part of a college or professional team because there are millions of people who would dream to be in their shoes. Coaches tend to stress the importance of playing the game at your highest level and to give it your all. If you give it your all, there is nothing to be disappointed about. You have to be in that mindset of winning is not everything sometimes. Sometimes defeat may come as a reminder to remain grounded and not to let the fame and fortune get out of control. Everything in life happens for a reason. Some of the greatest losses might have occurred against a team that was deemed to be not as good as their opponent on paper. It’s all about how the game is played and ultimately who the better team was that day.
We often experience these same circumstances in our everyday lives off the field. It is at these times in our lives where our mentors or business/life coaches become very important to helping us get back on track. Don’t let defeat keep you down. Keep going forward and keep moving.
