The News of the Day Can Really Impact Your Mindset

The first thing I would like to say today is that I am deeply saddened by the events of the day involving the news crew that was senselessly gunned down on live TV this morning and lost their lives as a result of it.  I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and anyone impacted by this horrific tragedy.

The story of the shooting that took place in Virginia and other tragic events that are currently going on around the world can really impact your mindset.  You may feel a sense of insecurity and anxiety due to watching the coverage and you may feel like you are vunerable and just uneasy about the current state of society.  This is definitely where your faith comes into play and you just have to trust and believe in our Heavenly Father that He will be our constant protection and will hold our minds together in order to get through tragedies of this nature.  Without having a strong foundation and faith, it may be so easy to become depressed or distraught. Through prayer and having faith, it makes dealing with these types of tragedies a bit easier, but in no way easy.  It is just completely devastating to turn on your television or to see newsfeed on your social media accounts about horrible news events.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, co-workers, and everyone impacted by this tragedy.  What we need right now is prayer and more prayer.  Have a blessed day.
