What a beautiful site to see this morning with all the parents and children walking hand in hand to begin a new school year. It’s that time of the year again where the school year begins and with it brings new things to explore and learn. A special “thank you” goes out to each and every teacher, educator, administrative personnel, leadership, parents, and students who embrace this day as a new beginning to seek and gain knowledge and to discover new and exciting things that were unknown before.
The yellow school buses took over the roads this morning and the yellow flashing school zone lights were in full effect. Please make sure to follow the school zone laws carefully regarding cell phone usage. I saw a young lady get pulled over this morning for using her cell phone in a school zone. I can say that law enforcement officials were in full effect this morning. Also, make sure you stop when school buses are stopped and have the red stop sign deployed with children are boarding and getting off of the bus. In our area, the school buses are now equipped with cameras and capture anyone who does not stop resulting in a pretty hefty fine.
I have a lot of friends who have children who will be graduating this school year. Where does the time go? Let’s make this school year one of exploration, discovery, new horizons, and new opportunities. It’s homework time again! Here’s to a wonderful and great day!!
