Have you ever been in a situation where you are in the zone and concentrating on a particular task and then all of sudden, your cell phone rings? Your focus has just been shifted away from what you had been concentrating on for the past several hours. What do you do? Do you take the call and then pick back up right where you were before the phone call came through? Do you take the call and don’t return to your task and just call it a day?
Distractions are inevitable and they are going to happen. The key thing to remember is not to lose your focus in whatever you are doing, both short-term and long-term goals and assignments. So often, life happens and so many people lose their focus and just give up on what they really want to do in life. It can be very difficult to get started again once you’ve decided to give up on what your goals are. The important thing is to decide to keep moving forward and pick up where you left off. Don’t beat yourself up for giving up for a brief moment. Just call that a bump in the road and keep going. Only you can make the decision that your goal is worth fighting for and to have the mindset of “no excuses.” Stay focused. Life is a fact and it’s here to stay. When stumbling blocks come in your path, just walk over them with confidence and keep putting one foot in front of the other. Have a wonderful day!
